What are web cookies?

With the rise of media sharing sites, more and more digital content is being published. As a result, due to human error, more and more private or secrets are being published with the media unintentionally. For example, this is a list of how streamers accidentally leaked their private information online. Similarly, people often post information that has not been scrubbed clean of personal details or secrets.

Because of this, OSINT often involves with the ability to find this public data, usually through Google searches. This could be used to notify the target of their slipup or for other purposes.
